2027 American mahjong card — order guide
A practical hub for where and when to think about ordering the 2027 card. We never reproduce NMJL card faces, hand lists, or card wording.
Official source: Always confirm release timing, formats, and authorized sellers on the National Mah Jongg League site. Charity and PTA group orders may have earlier cutoffs — verify with that organization, not with a product blog.
Order-window guidance (no hard dates from us)
- League cards typically refresh on a yearly cycle; clubs start talking about the next card months ahead.
- Group orders (synagogue gift shops, school PTAs, mahjong clubs) often close before individual online inventory feels “late.”
- If a site quotes a deadline without linking to League or the charity’s own page, treat it as unverified.
Standard vs large-print (concept)
Many players choose a standard card or a large-print edition for easier reading. Both are meant to cover the same yearly hands concept; the difference is presentation/size, not a different game. We don’t display either version’s content.
Authenticity tips
- Prefer the League, well-known mahjong retailers, or a club/charity you trust.
- Be wary of photos that show the full face of a current card in ads or “spoilers” — sharing protected card content isn’t something we do or encourage.
- A card is not a substitute for tiles: you still need a proper American set (see best sets and rules overview).
Gear while you wait
If you’re gifting a set alongside a card order, browse the catalog or gift ideas. Check rack compatibility with the size checker.
